Manager of Workforce DevelopmentNahla Saleh is the Manager of Workforce Development for Portsmouth@Work with the Economic Development team.
Nahla has over six years of experience in workforce development, case management, employer engagement, and program management from working with youth, adults, and businesses in the Hampton Roads region. Prior to joining the Portsmouth Economic Development team in 2023, Nahla was the Workforce Initiatives Coordinator with the Hampton Roads Workforce Council, overseeing local workforce programs and initiatives throughout the Hampton Roads area. Nahla is dedicated to helping build accessibility to workforce resources and services that prepare individuals for employment while developing and maintaining strong relationships with local businesses, non-profits, and community organizations to help assist unemployed and underemployed Portsmouth residents.
